Welcome to Pāho, the Humanities Research blog for the University of Otago. Pāho means to broadcast, make widely known, announce, disseminate, transmit – this blog aims to highlight the new and exciting research happening within the Division of Humanities at the University of Otago.

Humanities at Otago covers the arts and the social sciences as well as professional programmes such as Law, Teaching, Social Work and Theology. The arts and social sciences comprise subjects that explore the processes and systems of the human world, what is is to be human and how humans relate to their environment.
