The Tim Salius President’s Award 2016 from the American-based Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC) was presented jointly to Associate Professor Taylor and Professor Marilyn Freeman (Westminster University, London) on 1 June 2016 at the 53rd Annual AFCC Conference, Seattle, USA.

Nicola’s received the award for her “singular international work in promoting an empirically based approach in the field of child abduction and relocation. It is because of your commitment and expertise in this area that the International community, and certainly AFCC, is the richer. The President’s Award reflects the emphasis on the increasingly important international side of AFCC.”

AFCC has over 5,000 members, across 24 countries, who are leading researchers, academics, judges, lawyers, mediators, psychologists, custody evaluators, counselors, parent educators and policymakers in the family court field.
